As we all work to rebound from the challenges of the last few months, this year’s virtual SPLC CONNECT offers the opportunity to build back stronger than ever. The full-day 2020 SPLC VIRTUAL CONNECT event will be held on July 16, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET.
SPLC CONNECT is part two of the SPLC Summit, and is made possible through the generosity of our two sponsors, Davies Office and PG&E. Their commitment underscores the benefits of allowing us to connect purchasers and suppliers around the globe. This day of intense networking and matchmaking kicks off A FULL YEAR of access to the virtual platform for registrants to connect, including through live video chats and roundtable discussions.
As we all reset for a robust end of 2020 and beyond, this stand-alone event in a dedicated forum allows us at SPLC, with the help of our sponsors, to place the focus where it should be: on encouraging growth and sustainability. Making good on our commitment to foster a positive future, half of our proceeds this year will go towards a contribution to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Additionally, proceeds will be used to create a scholarship fund for members of the minority and women business (MWBE) community to cover the cost of SPLC membership. These combined contributions will seek to support the NAACP’s mission of promoting political, educational, social, and economic equality as well as to support the minority and women businesses within the procurement community.
In our dedicated forum, you will find resources beyond one-on-one networking, such as round-table discussions hosted by sustainability professionals, and other tools that will help you interpret the ever-changing landscape of sustainability through a business perspective. Hope to CONNECT with you!
The matchmaking platform itself will launch a few weeks prior to the event date and all pre-registered attendees will be invited via email to create a profile to begin the matchmaking process.
IMPORTANT: The SPLC Planning Committee staff reviews all CONNECT attendees to ensure all attendees are a good fit for the event and the correct role has been selected. Suppliers are selected to participate when their products and services offer superior environmental, social, and/or economic responsibility and when those solutions align with needs expressed by registering buyers. Planning Committee approval is a requirement for SPLC members as well as non-members.
