Chief, Energy Data Management & Sustainability Initiatives, Maryland Department of General Services
Emily Soontornsaratool has spent the past 7 years working in the State of Maryland’s Energy Performance & Conservation office. She leads the state-wide energy data program which tracks energy cost and consumption for all state agencies, benchmarks state buildings, and calculates energy reductions for state government. For the past year and a half she has also overseen sustainability initiatives including Maryland’s Green Purchasing Program and is the Secretary’s Designee to chair the Maryland Green Purchasing Committee. Emily has a masters of library and information science, is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is an ACCO certified Climate Change Professional (CC-P).
