Sustainability Technical Lead, Ecolab
In her role as Sustainability Technical Lead for Ecolab, Dr. Oriana Leishman works across the business to continually embed sustainability deeper in to the product development, supply chain, and marketing functions. Prior to joining the sustainability team, she led research and development teams across multiple food industries and technology platforms, specializing in developing cleaning and antimicrobial products and programs to enhance sustainability and food safety. Before joining Ecolab, Dr. Leishman held positions at Target Corporation, specializing in food safety and quality assurance, as well as governmental positions focused on environmental health and retail food inspection.
Dr. Leishman’s professional passion for developing safe and sustainable solutions is fueled by her educational background. She received a bachelor’s degree in Medical Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota, and a doctorate in Food Science from the University of Minnesota.
