Pollution Prevention Manager, Center for Environmental Health
Sarah Packer, Pollution Prevention Manager, recently joined Center for Environmental Health’s Procurement Team to provide large-scale purchasers with tools, resources and technical assistance to procure healthier carpet and resilient flooring. Prior to joining the Procurement Team, she supported the organization’s public policy work to strengthen regulation of toxic chemicals and promote material and chemical transparency. Based in Durham, North Carolina, Sarah also collaborates with local and national organizations to raise awareness of PFAS contamination and advocate for stronger action to regulate and mitigate PFAS exposure in the region. Before joining CEH, Sarah’s work focused on applying principles of user-centered design, harm reduction, technology introduction, community engagement, human rights and stigma mitigation to improve access to reproductive health services internationally. She holds a B.A. in International Studies from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
