Director, Ethical Labor and Sustainability, Associated Students University of California Los Angeles
Liz Kennedy is Director of Ethical Labor and Sustainability for ASUCLA, the independent, nonprofit student association responsible for retail, restaurant, student union and trademark licensing operations at UCLA. This role encompasses both social and environmental sustainability objectives at UCLA and as an institution within the University of California System. Liz directs human rights due diligence in supply chains for trademark-bearing collegiate licensed products, supply chain transparency advocacy and implementation, and development of a social and environmental sustainability culture within service units of ASUCLA. Liz’s background and experience includes more than 30 years of management of both public and private university licensing programs, direction of corporate responsibility efforts for a major licensing agency, and the development of a performance and accountability metrics for key client institutions. She is a past president of ICLA, the International Collegiate Licensing Association, and is a current member of the Board of Directors of the Fair Labor Association as a University Affiliate. Outside of the workplace, Liz dedicates her time as a volunteer naturalist, connecting people of all ages with open space preserves in her community and the natural and cultural treasures within them.
